Burnley can be massively annoying opposition, but Chelsea made short work of them on Saturday, coming back home with three goals, three points, and a clean sheet to boot.
Needless to say, things went quite well for the Blues at Turf Moor. Some might say things went perfectly, even, including new signing Ben Chilwell.
“It was a perfect day for us in terms of performance and attitude.
“It was a tough match. We knew that if we came not ready for a fight we could get bullied. That’s what they want, to make it difficult. But we came ready for the fight and also played our style of football, which is important, and we got another clean sheet and three good goals.
“Everyone put a shift in. We looked clinical in front of goal and solid as a defensive unit again.”
Chilwell has been one of the key reasons behind Chelsea’s improved performances this season, and he was once again a solid presence in both attack and defence, keeping Chelsea unbeaten for over a moth, and collecting our fourth consecutive clean sheet, too.
While Chilwell has quickly made the left back spot his own, there’s competition aplenty elsewhere in the squad, especially up front. And that’s probably a good thing, especially when someone like Timo Werner can come in at the last second to replace the injured Christian Pulisic.
“That competition pushes us all, and it’s one of the key components to a good squad. We have a lot of good players, two or three in each position who are fighting for the shirt. That will help push us forward.”

So say we all.
