Chilwell rates teammates on FIFA 21, reflects on ‘no-brainer’ decision to join Chelsea

Fun interview with Chilly B

Ben “Chilly” Chilwell has quickly become not only one of the key players at Chelsea since signing in the summer, but also a budding fan favorite thanks to his easygoing personality and excellent interviews.

The latest of those is this 12-minute sit-down with Soccer AM to talk FIFA 21 ratings, which could be entirely uninteresting for someone who doesn’t play FIFA, but since Chilwell himself doesn’t play FIFA either — I know, inconceivable! — it actually turns into just a fun chat about his Chelsea teammates instead.

Amid talk of Kanté’s technical excellence, Tomori’s lightning quickness, and Ziyech’s skinny legs, we also learn that the infamous food war between him and Werner was actually started by Timo! Never trust what you see on social media!

At the start of the interview, Chilwell also briefly reflects on his decision to join Chelsea this summer, which he calls a no-brainer.

“I’ve really enjoyed it [so far]. The manager was a big big factor [...] talking to him, and knowing a lot of the players, I’ve always kind of enjoyed the style of football Chelsea play. It was a no-brainer really for me.”

Good choice, indeed.
