According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Inter Milan are looking to get Victor Moses back this season, with talks already in motion. The Chelsea attacker, who was turned into a wingback by Antonio Conte in the two years of his time at Stamford Bridge, was already part of the Inter squad in the second half of the 2019-20 season, after the end of his loan spell with Turkish club Fenerbahçe.
Moses’s temporary stay at San Siro could have become permanent since Inter had a buy-option included in his loan contract. But the financial duress imposed by the pandemic, as well as Moses not featuring regularly in Conte’s team selections, made it so that they opted to forgo that opportunity.
But Inter are still seeking for wing-backs in the market — though not Emerson or Alonso — as they make their latest push to try to end Juventus’ domination in Serie A.
Perhaps twice will be the charm for Moses. He certainly deserves a place he can call “home” after dedicating himself so much for the Blues, and helping us lift a Premier League trophy in the process.
