For what could very well be the first time ever in the Lampard Era, Chelsea have practically a fully fit squad.
Barring any unforeseen news from Lampard in tomorrow’s press conference, the only player not available for Saturday’s game at Old Trafford is young midfielder Billy Gilmour. He’s in the final month of his recovery from knee surgery over the summer. Hakim Ziyech may also not be available to start just yet, but he certainly should be fit enough to come off the bench, just as he’s done in our last two games.
Édouard Mendy, Thiago Silva, and Mateo Kovačić all returned to the starting lineup on Tuesday, erasing any lingering doubts about their availabilities as well.
So now, the truly tough decisions begin for Frank Lampard. In previous games, his choices may have been limited. Now he’s got pretty much the full arsenal of attacking talent and defensive capabilities to work with. He’s even got Petr Čech!
Can he make the right choices?
Could you?
