How should Chelsea line up against Crystal Palace to get back on the winning track?

Chelsea get the Premier League party started this weekend with a lunchtime kick-off at Stamford Bridge against crosstown rivals Crystal Palace, who have started the season rather well, including a 3-1 win at Old Trafford. They did lose last weekend at home, but they lost to Everton, who are suddenly almost as good as the other big team on Merseyside. (Nice work, Carlo Ancelotti!)

Meanwhile, Chelsea have one win, one defeat (to those aforementioned defending Premier League champion Merseysiders), and one draw, last weekend’s rousing three-goal comeback against West Brom. Despite the historic fightback, we came away feeling rather disappointed, which were then compounded by another draw and further disappointment in the penalty kick shootout against Spurs.

So, it’s time to get back on the good vibes track, especially as this is the last game for the next two weeks thanks to the latest most annoying international break coming up after the weekend.

Lampard will likely have an update in a few hours, but Chelsea’s injury situation could be improving as well. Hakim Ziyech was called up by Morocco and could be fit enough to make his official club debut this weekend. Christian Pulisic is probably very close as well, but chances are we’ll play it safe with him either way.

UPDATE: the situation is actually reversed, though neither will start. Pulisic is set for bench duty, while Ziyech remains out, confirmed Lampard in his press conference.

Choose wisely.
