How should Chelsea line up against Sevilla in first Champions League group game?

Chelsea vs. Sevilla, Champions League: You choose the starting lineup

The Champions League is back, and Chelsea begin this year’s group stage campaign against last year’s Europa League champions, Sevilla — certainly not easy opposition by any stretch of the imagination, even at home, but thus a great opportunity to step up and put the frustrations of the weekend behind us. A win would also perfectly set up the rest of the group stage campaign, not to mention provide a confidence and morale boost for the weekend’s massive trip to Old Trafford.

We should have a bit of extra help in that task with Thiago Silva hopefully available after the extra 72 hours of recovery time form his international break travels. Unfortunately, Édouard Mendy still won’t be fit for up to another week or two, so we will have to make do with Kepa Arrizabalaga or old man Willy Caballero once again. Hakim Ziyech might also be ready for more minutes after his substitute appearance and debut on Saturday.

Choose wisely.
