Ziyech fit enough for Morocco; Abraham, Mount, Chilwell get England call

Internationals upcoming

The concept of national team games remains extra silly during this compressed season with the COVID-19 pandemic still ongoing, but the powers that be don’t agree, so we’ve got another international break coming up after this weekend’s match against Crystal Palace.

A couple noteworthy call-ups include Hakim Ziyech for Morocco and a trio of Chelsea players for England, Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, and new signing Ben Chilwell.

The former is decent news in the sense that Ziyech’s inclusion must mean that he’s fit enough to play and getting him those minutes could be helpful in the long-run for his involvement at Chelsea, too. Ziyech had been back in training the past week or so, but has yet to make his official debut for the club.

For the Three Lions, Mount and Abraham are fairly expected at this point, while Chilwell is new for Chelsea but he has 11 caps already. As nice as it is to get that recognition however, I hope that at least Mount will get to have a bit of a rest instead.
