LIVE BLOG

90+4min: FULL TIME.

90+3min: Chelsea’s latest corner is wasted by Hudson-Odoi as he overhits a cross.

90min: Four minutes added on. Chelsea playing with 10 essentially since Abraham’s injury.

89min: Batshuayi misses an easy chance. No idea how.

88min: My stream died. Bellerin scored. 2-2.

85min: GOALLLLLL DAVEEEEE! Chelsea take the corner short then swing it in, an AZPILICUETA’S there to score and this time he’s not ruled out by VAR. 2-1, CHELSEA!!!

84min: Abraham works the ball down the left flank after a 1-2 with Mount, showing fantastic burst to get past Bellerin and win a corner. He hurts himself in the process by crashing into the advertising hoardings, but soldiers on.

81min: A Chelsea corner is cleared for another corner. Emerson swings it in, Arsenal head clear. Hudson-Odoi tracks back with Martinelli to stop the counter.

80min: A ball over the top finds Barkley, but he can only flick it on with the back of his head. Leno makes an excellent save down low.

79min: Batshuayi on for Willian, as Chelsea go 4-2-4. A corner comes out to Barkley at the top of the box, but he mis-hits his shot hilariously.

78min: Barkley loses the ball and Arsenal can counter, but the final ball is poor and Rudiger cuts it out.

76min: Guendouzi hacks down Mount without even feigning to play the ball. Yellow card’s out. Emerson’s delivery finds Abraham, but it’s a header from a fair distance out and Leno can catch easily.

74min: Hudson-Odoi’s cross is cleared at the front post and the game’s stopped because Torreira’s lying on the ground.

73min: Great cross-field ball finds Willian on the left. He cuts inside and goes for power, but Leno’s equal to it.

72min: Martinelli’s in behind on Chelsea’s right, but Jorginho tracks back well to cut out his pass. Then Lacazette’s in behind on Chelsea’s left and even has the ball in the back of the net, but he’s miles offside.

71min: Barkley loses the ball in midfield and Arsenal win a corner. Five hours later, they take it. Pepe’s outswinger is hooked clear.

68min: Kante tries to turn in the area, but is crowded out. Arsenal then waste some time. Kante’s replaced by Mount as Chelsea go 4-2-3-1.

65min: Rudiger piledriver from 30 yards is held by Leno. Barkley on for Kovacic.

63min: Goal. Arsenal. Willian takes Chelsea’s latest corner, Arsenal head clear. Emerson’s caught too far up and Martinelli is in behind. But he takes a bad touch and surely Kante will cover ... but KANTE SLIPS and Martinelli’s now 1-v-1 with the goalkeeper. And he makes no mistake. 1-1, out of nothing. Ridiculous.

62min: Mustafi clears two Emerson crosses into the near post in quick succession.

61min: A low cross from Hudson-Odoi is cleared by Xhaka. Chelsea getting plenty of crosses into the area, but haven’t been able to finish one yet.

60min: Better from Christensen this time to cut out a ball intended for Martinelli. Chelsea can attack quickly through Willian, playing through to Abraham. He can’t beat his man unfortunately, but Chelsea have a throw.

59min: Arsenal counter and Christensen misses his interception, bringing down Lacazette in the process. Yellow for Christensen.

58min: Chelsea probe right, then left, where Emerson puts in a low cross, but Xhaka clears ahead of Abraham. Chelsea then go back to the right, but Leno’s alert to Azpi’s cutback.

56min: Willian crosses from deep towards the far post. Emerson lays it back with his head towards the onrushing Kovacic, but his karate-kicked effort is blocked by Torreira.

55min: Ozil off, Guendouzi on for Arsenal.

53min: Emerson bursts forward, but a miscontrol from Abraham leads to a counter, which is stopped by Azpilicueta and Kovacic squeezing together. Referee whistles for a foul, but does not card either.

51min: Chelsea play with fire at the back, but manage to play out without disaster to set up shop in the final third. Kovacic breaks through the lines, but no one can make good contact with his cutback. Half-hearted shouts for handball are waved away, then Azpilicueta tries something fancy but doesn’t come off. Rudiger steps across to stop a subsequent Arsenal counter.

48min: Arsenal win a corner, which Ozil takes. Willian and Jorginho combine to clear, but the counter doesn’t quite come off. Arsenal start anew with Leno.

46min: Chelsea restart the match — no changes for either side — and are into the attack immediately. A very nice cross from Emerson doesn’t find a leg as it runs through the area, then a turn and shot from Kante is blocked by Mustafi.

45+2min: Half time. Chelsea will need to do a bit better to truly ensure the points today.

45min: Hudson-Odoi fashions a cross from the byline on the right, but it’s Kovacic who gets his head to that, and he can’t get it on target.

43min: Emerson goes for the outswinger in Chelsea’s 10th corner. Rudiger wins the header, but it’s not close.

42min: Kante clears on the right and sets CHO on his way. He beats Xhaka and switches to Willian, but he can’t beat Bellerin who clears for a corner.

40min: Pepe takes the corner, Chelsea clear but only as far as Xhaka. Arsenal in control at the moment, despite playing with one fewer players.

39min: Azpi, then Christensen dive in, gifting Arsenal a chance to cross from the left. Cleared, but Arsenal maintaining pressure and win a corner through Pepe.

37min: Arsenal hold the ball for a fair while and take the sting out of the game.

33min: Hudson-Odoi comes again, but this time his pass is cut out and Arsenal can counter. But Chelsea cover well to stop the immediate danger.

32min: CHO with a lovely 1-2 with Kante on the right, but the shot is within reach of Leno. Another Chelsea corner then is played short and possession retained.

30min: Emerson goes for goal; blocked. Chelsea play the corner short and keep possession.

28min: GOAL! Jorginho takes. Jorginho scores. 1-0, CHELSEA!

26min: RED CARD DAVID LUIZ!!! LOL. A terrible backpass from Mustafi gifts Abraham a chance to take it around Leno, but as he does, David Luiz bundles him over in the area from behind. Penalty, red card.

23min: Chelsea’s seventh corner is taken short before working it to Emerson, who whips in a low ball towards the near post. Xhaka tracks Jorginho well to clear. The eighth corner is again taken short, but this time CHO’s cross is not very good and Arsenal have a goal kick.

21min: Emerson into the book for repeatedly snapping at Pepe’s heels.

19min: Arsenal have a throw in the final third, and it’s a fantastic one that cuts out Azpi. Christensen covers well on Martinelli.

16min: Kante’s cross is headed out for Chelsea’s latest corner, this time on the left, which is cleared for another corner. Chelsea go short eventually finding CHO again. He goes cross-shot from the left, which fools Leno but can only clip the top of the crossbar. Almost lucky/amazing!

15min: Another corner for Chelsea. This time Emerson goes short and Hudson-Odoi eventually goes to the far post. Rudiger heads back across from there finding Tammy six yards out, but he can only head straight into the hands of Leno as David Luiz gets a nice shove in. Another big miss.

13min: Good high press from Tammy, but Chelsea can’t quite win the ball from Arsenal’s subsequent throw.

10min: More incisive play from CHO leads to a corner as Abraham’s cutback is cleared. Emerson plays short to CHO, but he can’t beat his man. Chelsea have another corner and this time Emerson puts it right into the mixer. Rudiger misses his header and Christensen somehow doesn’t score either. Big opportunity, that.

7min: Lovely combination from CHO and Azpi leads to a left-footed shot from Kovacic from the top of the box. Mustafi puts the family jewels on the line to block it, and the referee stops the game, much to Chelsea’s frustration, so that the Arsenal defender can collect himself.

5min: Lacazette charges down Kepa’s slow clearance and Arsenal win a corner. Kovacic heads clear at the front post, then Chelsea clear the second corner as well, this time at the far post.

3min: Abraham feels a David Luiz knee straight into his backside; Chelsea spread the free kick wide to Hudson-Odoi, whose cross is blocked for a corner. Emerson whips it in but Mustafi clears.

2min: Arsenal’s first foray forward after beating the press leads to an overhit cross from Saka.

1min: A couple good early strong interventions from Emerson, hopefully setting the tone for Chelsea.

KICK-OFF: The Liquidator and the light show are done. Chelsea in blue (with white socks), Arsenal in red (with white shorts and red socks), a classic clash. Coaches bundled up in the dugout. Turn up the heat! Arsenal get us underway.
