✍️ We are delighted to announce the signing of @ChelseaFC defender Marc Guehi on loan until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old will once again work under Steve Cooper, who led the England Under-17 team to a World Cup title in 2017 and also join forces with Rhian Brewster, a former Chelsea academy player and Guehi’s teammate in that 2017 squad. With Mike van der Hoorn and Joe Rodon struggling for fitness Guehi could have the chance to make his mark sooner rather than later and establish himself at the Championship level just as Fikayo Tomori did, last season. It’s unclear if he could be involved in their next match but there’d be no better occasion to get stuck in than a heated derby clash against Cardiff City.
Although Swansea claim the deal to last until the end of the season, other sources have reported it to be an 18-month loan. We’ll just have to wait and see on that one!
Marc Guehi has agreed an 18-month loan deal to join Swansea City. Paperwork and medical finalised tomorrow. A big talent getting a suitably big opportunity: https://t.co/f29QJiwUDj#CFC
