John Terry throws back to classic Diego Costa and Billy Blood moment

And of course Billy McCulloch

The 2014-15 season was one of the best in recent Chelsea history, and a large part of that was down to the near-perfect mix of characters in the dressing room. From the quiet and introspective types to the loud and boisterous to the fun and carefree, and every type in between, Chelsea had winners, leaders, and of course talent aplenty. (Alas, the expectation of a dynasty went down the drain shortly thereafter, but let us not talk about that.)

Two of the biggest characters were Diego Costa and the legendary Billy “Blood” McCulloch, and a throwback video posted to Instagram yesterday by Captain-Leader-Legend, John Terry, shows them in their natural element. At a team meal that preseason, the two of them engaged in a fake-ish boxing match, much to the delight of the assembled Blues (and probably confusion for the assembled wait staff).

So, here’s what happens when you put two lunatics in boxing gloves at a team meal.

(JT captioned it with “2015 Pre Season”, but both the training shirts and the tagged squad list, including Didier Drogba and Filipe Luis, indicate that he probably means 2014-15 preseason rather than 2015-16.)
