According to multiple reports today, including a couple eye-witness accounts, Callum Hudson-Odoi was at Cobham today, dressed to the nines.
Suited and booted @Calteck10 let’s go

My mate was at Cobham today and got this pic of CHO leaving the ground in a suit. Reckon that’s the contract signed. Also a bit of Azpi making everyone’s day. pic.twitter.com/wSn4SMSBU8

Combined with multiple reports from trustworthy sources, the explanation seems obvious: he’s FINALLY signed his new contract.
This is not a drill! Someone has passed Callum a pen!

Given how long this situation has dragged on this summer, we probably shouldn’t expect immediate announcements. But with the season starting this weekend, and Chelsea’s fixture list as busy as ever from the off, we probably shouldn’t wait too long. Let’s get some good vibes back out there, especially after the recent David Luiz silliness.
If (and when) Hudson-Odoi’s new contract is confirmed, he will become the third future superstar from the Academy to commit his long-term prospects to the club, to being one of the homegrown cornerstones of the new era. Alongside Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Mason Mount, and hopefully the likes of Reece James and Tammy Abraham as well, we could be on the precipice of a brave new True Blue world.
Exciting!
