Official: Josh Grant joins Plymouth Argyle on loan from Chelsea

Back to League Two

In the midst of all the potential drama involving David Luiz’s sudden exit from Chelsea just three months after signing a two-year extension with the club, there is still space for us to deal with other things. And that includes shoring up our “loan brigade” with young defender Josh Grant, who has joined League Two outfit Plymouth Argyle on a half-season loan deal.

Grant joined Chelsea as an under-8 player, moving up the youth ranks as the years went by. He was part of the U19 squad that won the club’s second UEFA Youth League title in the 2015-16 season, as well as the U18 Development League the following year.

Last season, he went on his first professional journey by joining Yeovil Town at the League Two in the second half of the term, for whom he took part in 11 matches. And now back in the competition, he should hope to get plenty of playing time and experience under his belt.

Good luck, Josh!
