Good luck, old pal!

UPDATE: Now officially official!

PREVIOUSLY:

Former Chelsea captain and professional bicep curl enthusiast, Gary Cahill is set to join Crystal Palace as a free agent after leaving Chelsea at the end of his contract in June.

While Cahill's last season was not exactly the greatest ever, with him playing only 22 Premier League minutes as Maurizio Sarri preferred everyone but him, his Chelsea career is still undoubtedly an extremely successful one. He left the club having won two Premier League titles, two FA Cups, one League Cup, two Europa League titles and of course, everyone's favourite, the one Champions League title. He was also named in the PFA Team of the Year three times, in 2013-14, 2014-15 and 2016-17.

Considering he was signed for a mere £7m from a relegation-bound Bolton Wanderers, it’s safe to say that Cahill's non-flashy yet dependable performances exceeded all expectations.

The man has won it all and we can only wish him the best of luck, especially when Crystal Palace play any of our Premier League rivals.
