Tiemoue Bakayoko, Kenedy, and Michy Batshuayi have all been subject to transfer rumors over the past few days, but they continued to train alongside the rest of their Chelsea teammates as the Blues continued preparations today (Thursday) for this weekend’s home game against Sheffield United. The eyes of the football world may have been trained on Monaco for the Champions League draw, but the only thing on Chelsea’s mind is the htree points on Saturday. The last game before the international break will be a fantastic opportunity to head into the break on the positive wings of a second consecutive win.
With several injuries of note, including N’Golo Kant and Pedro, youngsters Billy Gilmour and Marc Guehi were pulled into first-team training as well, even though they are much more likely to take part in the Development Squad’s match against Spurs on Friday than the first-team match a day later. In better injury news, Mason Mount (calf knock) looked to be a full participant, as were Willian and Callum Hudson-Odoi, both of whom are working up to match fitness.
And speaking of Gilmour & Guehi, they feature in the Chelsea TV’s latest feature, “Out of the Blue”. You know, it’s not the worst thing I’ve ever seen. Check it out below:
