According to a report from Dutch newspaper De Gelderlander, Charly Musonda Jr has picked another knee injury. The extent of the issue is still unknown — Chelsea and Vitesse are working together the assess the damage — but the 22-year-old has been all but ruled out from this weekend’s match against Heracles Almelo.
After a season lost to knee injuries, Musonda has been on a mission to not only get back to playing but get back to the levels that made him one of the most exciting and promising young players in the Chelsea Academy. Just the other day, he spoke about his will and determination to achieve those goals and still fulfill his Chelsea dream.
Vitesse have made an excellent start to the new season, unbeaten in three with two wins. Musonda had made a substitute appearance in all three of those games and was supposedly set to start this weekend before this latest setback.
Hopefully it’s just a minor thing...
