After a day off on Monday, Chelsea returned to the training ground on Tuesday to begin preparations for Saturday’s trip to Norwich and the game against the newly promoted Canaries who are playing with fearless optimism and unbridled enthusiasm. No easy games in the Premier League, not even in East Anglia!
Providing a bit of psychological boost was the return of Callum Hudson-Odoi to training as well today. While this game will come far too soon for him, as will the home test against Sheffield United the following weekend, Hudson-Odoi’s looking on track to make his season debut after the September international break, first for the U23s probably (like Rudiger this week) and then for the first-team.
He cruised through it without really breaking sweat, which is often what happens, it was about getting back out there and moving.

Would think Hudson-Odoi is in line to play for the Dev Squad against Brighton at the Bridge on Sept 13th, that seems a good target to aim for. https://t.co/MYH4DGvHN6
Chelsea will be taking on Wolves, Liverpool, and Brighton before the end of the month, while also beginning play in the Champions League as well as the League Cup. We’ll need all the legs we can get, especially when they’re as promise-filled as Callum’s. Maybe we’ll even announce a new contract for him by then!
Let’s go✌
