Having earned his dream move this summer, Chelsea legend Eden Hazard has not gotten off to the greatest of starts at Real Madrid.
Concerns about his weight (familiar!) and his goalscoring output (also familiar!) have only added to the Galacticos’ lackluster preseason results, wherein they’ve won just 2 of 7 games, with Hazard scoring just 1 goal. Of course, it’s all just preseason, but we don’t have to look too far back to find the start of a similar story (hello, 2015-16!).
It gets worse for Hazard personally, as Real confirmed today that he has picked up a hamstring injury, which is expected to rule him out for at least 3-4 weeks. As we know, hamstring injuries can linger like few others. And a nagging injury is yet another parallel with the Season That Shall Not Be Named, when Eden was bothered by a hip problem.
Hopefully Eden can recover swiftly from this setback and continue to fulfill his hopes and dreams in the Spanish capital ... and earn Chelsea those sweet performance bonuses. We wish him good luck and all the best, unless of course we get drawn against his new team as some point in the Champions League.
Eden Hazard is expected to be out for 3-4 weeks on the eve of the La Liga season. Sad to see from the former Chelsea man: https://t.co/TYlFsAZmG1
