PICTURES: Third day of preseason training for Lampard’s Chelsea

Another lovely day over in Dublin, Republic of Ireland as Chelsea continued preparations for the new season with another double session, featuring work both inside and outside at the Canton House training facilities, working both with and without the ball. Nice to see the players get in some proper gym time as well after a season of not doing it much at all under Maurizio Sarri. Gotta build those strong foundations!

Even the youngins are tired, as Academy Player of the Year Conor Gallagher explains. Don’t worry, his hair is still magnificent.

You know it’s preseason when not even Azpilicueta is clean-shaven (or maybe he’s just carrying on the fine annual tradition of the Branislav Ivanovic preseason beard?).

Others are already showing midseason form. Here’s Big Willy C flying through the air like he was half his own age.

Chelsea’s numbers should be swelling shortly with the likes of David Luiz, Emerson, and Mason Mount back in London and presumably heading over at the start of next week.

The first preseason match is coming up soon, too, on Wednesday against Bohemians.
