The second day of preseason training is in the books over at the Canton House training facilities in Dublin, Republic of Ireland, and the intensity looks to be ramping up.
Old man Zappacosta — he’s actually just 27 but with a 57-year-old’s hairline — wasn’t the only one who needed extra water to keep things going during the double-session, despite the cooler weather.

Jump higher, run faster, go harder. Or in the case of Kurt Zouma, leap over tall buildings in a single bound, superman-style. The photographers probably need a wide-angle lens to truly capture him at the apex of his flight.
With numbers limited to just 22, Coach Lampard was an active participant in certain portions as well, which gave the official club channels a chance to highlight his sweet move in the rondo. Still got it!

It wasn’t all just fitness and touch work however. Here’s young Trevoh Chalobah flashing a bit of finishing skill with the left foot. Caballero could only watch that one. Top bins only, baby!
Session two today...
