The Chelsea charter flight landed safely in Dublin tonight, carrying with it its precious cargo of the new Chelsea head coach, his coaching and support staff, and 22 Chelsea players ready to begin preparations for the new season.
As is often the case at the very start of preseason, the squad consists of a big mix of young and old, important and unimportant, first-team and loan-bound players. First-team players who were involved in internationals this summer are not back yet. Some of them will join camp on Monday, while some of them, like Christian Pulisic, will be even later as they have a game to play still with the national team, even.
Been told Mount, Abraham and Izzy Brown will travel out later... along with other first teamers from last season. #CFC

Chelsea will take on Bohemians and St Pats over the next seven days. As per the official website, here’s the full 22-man traveling squad.
GOALKEEPERS: Caballero, Cumming
DEFENDERS: Azpilicueta, Zappacosta, Zouma, Ampadu, Sterling, Tomori, Guehi, Maatsen
MIDFIELDERS: Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Baker, Palmer, T.Chalobah, Gallagher, Gilmour
FORWARDS: Kenedy, Pedro, Batshuayi, Piazon, Ugbo
Certainly some interesting names in there, including the returning loanees who could be in line for first-team action in Zouma, Bakayoko, and Batshuayi.
Time to get to work!
