At long last, we appear to have reached the light at the end of the tunnel. Callum Hudson-Odoi has reportedly agreed to his new Chelsea contract, and is signing on for the next five years at a cool 100k per week. So claims the Times, the BBC and the Mail, and that’s good enough confirmation for us.

This offer has been rumored since at least since November 2018, when news emerged that Hudson-Odoi, then just one the fringes of the first-team, was not too keen on extending his tenure at Chelsea. Plenty has happened since, both positive and negative, including a long courtship from Bayern Munich last winter and this summer, with multiple bids rejected by Chelsea, while also growing in influence under Sarri, including during our unbeaten Europa League-winning run.
Obviously this isn’t official confirmation, but it looks like it’s happening at long last. Credit should also go to new manager Frank Lampard, who reportedly played a major role in convincing Hudson-Odoi that his future lies at Chelsea.
Five more years!
