PICTURES: Final day of training in Japan for Chelsea

Getting ready for Barcelona

Chelsea wrap up training camp in Japan with today’s friendly against Barcelona in Saitama, which means that there was just time for another day of double sessions yesterday, as work on the training ground continue both with and without the ball. We’re still not even halfway through preseason, technically, so fitness goals remain the primary emphasis.

Having said that, we mustn’t forget the technical work, as Tammy Abraham proves it with a keep-up challenge against assistant coach Joe Edwards. Have to use all body parts, head, shoulders, thighs, and feet! Way to stick with it, Tam!

Chelsea will be heading back home after tonight’s game, and will actually stick around Cobham for a minute before hitting the road again, first to nearby Reading, and then towards the mainland for games against RB Salzburg and Borussia Mönchengladbach.

But first, even the coaches will need a bit of a well-earned break after this one!
