Cagliari and the Barella heir
Cagliari sold Nicolò Barella to Inter, so are now in talks for Boca Juniors midfielder Nahitan Nandez and Napoli’s Marko Rog. Sky Sport Italia claim they are in negotiations with Boca Juniors for Nandez. Meanwhile, Sportitalia suggest Cagliari are on the verge of signing Croatia international Rog from Napoli. There is some confusion here, as Sky Sport Italia insist Rog will join Eintracht Frankfurt.

Atleast Arsenal are in control of something
Milan must wait for Arsenal to give the all-clear before they can purchase Algeria international Ismael Bennacer from Empoli. Sky Sport Italia maintain the final word is down to Arsenal, as the Gunners have a clause in the contract when they sold him to Empoli for €1m in 2017. That gives them the right of first refusal once Bennacer is sold, so if they match the Milan offer, then the Premier League side will have the priority.

No offers for Coutinho
With Griezmann in the baptismal font of the named, Barca still does not have a firm offer for Coutinho . His agent, logically defending the contract effective until 2023, knows what it is but is as ambiguous as the play of his represented. The problem here is that Coutinho, who has played in Espanyol and Barcelona, would prefer not to go to Old Trafford having been an Anfield idol.

This could be a problem for Juve, and the Corriere di Torino newspaper maintains Kean will be released instead.

Nacho to stay
Nacho won’t be leaving Real Madrid this summer as the defender has considered his options and believes remaining at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu to be the best of the bunch. Snag
Newcastle’s move for Steve Bruce has hit a snag, with Sheffield Wednesday holding out for a fee far greater than originally expected, Sky sources understand. The St James’ Park club have been in talks with Bruce for 24 hours as they look to replace Rafael Benitez with the 58-year-old.

Price to be met
Everton have told RB Leipzig they must meet their asking price if they want to sign Ademola Lookman. The Bundesliga side have reignited their interest in the Blues winger after failing with bids last summer. Interest in Ruben Dias revived
Arsenal have reignited their interest in Benfica defender Ruben Dias. Arsenal’s need for a new central defender has intensified after captain Laurent Koscielny went on strike and refused to board the plane for the club’s tour of America. Dias was among the defenders the Gunners considered a move for at the start of the window and they compiled a dossier on the 22 year old Portugal international.

Sad expectations
Romelu Lukaku is increasingly resigned to staying at Manchester United after Inter Milan failed to come up with a suitable offer during talks this week. The Belgium international has growing doubts about the Italian club’s financial ability to prise him away from Old Trafford.
-source: Evening Standard
Belgium forward Romelu Lukaku looks increasingly likely to be staying at Manchester United. It had been expected Inter Milan would try and sign Lukaku, 26, following the appointment of long-time admirer Antonio Conte as manager. However, there has been no bid tabled so far. Even if one were to be, United would want in excess of the £75m they paid Everton for him two years ago.

Only & if
According to a source at the Bundesliga runners-up, Diallo will only be sold if he really pushes for an exit, in tandem with a club willing to pay the right price. Timing is also a key concern. BVB have only just started their pre-season and are reluctant to make the call on Diallo’s future before Favre has had time to assess his choices in more depth.

Should have gone to Napoli last season
Mattia Perin could find his future in Portugal. The Juventus goalie is looking for more playing time as he tries to win Mancini’s confidence ahead of the 2020 Euros and after the initial doubts, the Italian is evaluating the Portuguese options: Benfica is strongly interested in him and are ahead of Porto in that regard.

Replacement
Atalanta are thinking about the future: Gianluca Mancini is in fact getting closer and closer to Roma, so the Nerazzurri are working on bringing a substitute for the born in 96’ defender. Sergi Gomez, 27-year-old defender from Sevilla, who’s played 48 games last season, could take that job.
