90+2min: Full time. 1-1.

90min: Chelsea almost reply straight away, but Bohs manage to hang on amid a scramble. Brown’s cross misses everyone after Gilmour passes up a shot. 2 minutes added on.

89min: GOAL! And there is the equalizer that’s been coming. A turnover in midfield and Bohs counter through the middle. A through ball finds a trialist, who slams it into the back of the net. 1-1.

87min: Piazon bodies over a Bohs player at the top of the area, but fortunately no call. Eventually a long shot comes in from the home team, and it doesn’t miss by much.

84min: Chelsea finally with some quality, building up nicely through the middle, but Brown’s cross is wayward and the move breaks down.

83min: Chelsea not making it easy on themselves while failing to properly clear a corner. Ugbo lets a ball bounce to gift possession back and Bohs almost make him pay. A well-shaped shot is just wide of the far post however.

78min: Another great long pass from Baker puts Brown in a good position. He lays it off to Gilmour who takes aim from distance, but it’s an easy save for the goalkeeper.

74min: Solid covering out wide from T.Chalobah gives Bohs a corner, which they waste.

70min: Zappacosta with a foul out wide gives Cumming something to do as he punches clear a good-looking ball in from the home side.

68min: Piazon wins the ball high up, but Gilmour unable to make hay in the penalty area and Bohs eventually have the ball back with a throw-in.

65min: Bakayoko tries to bully his way through the middle, but is crowded out. Chelsea have lost their way a little bit here.

60min: A bit of errant passing and lax play in midfield gifts Bohemains a shooting chance, but the 20-yard effort is well wide.

58min: Zappacosta goes on a storming run, beats a few, before collecting a foul. Bohemians make a few changes.

56min: Gilmour gets fancy as he fakes a shot with the right and takes it with the left, but the goalkeeper is alert and saves for a corner. Baker takes the corner, Bakayoko gets a head to it, but it’s awkward and the header goes wide.

55min: Chelsea dominating possession and Baker eventually tries his luck from distance, but is fouled before he can actually shoot. No call and we play on.

50min: Brown tries a bending shot towards the top corner after a 1-2 with Piazon. Just a bit outside.

48min: Fantastic move from Chelsea, started and ended by Gilmour, sandwiching a great ball from Baker and a nice cutback from Piazon, but the shot unfortunately ends up in the side-netting.

46min: Chelsea get us back underway, but the first foray forward ends in a Brown offside.

SECOND-HALF (4-3-3):
Cumming | Maatsen, Zouma (c), Chalobah, Zappacosta | Gilmour, Bakayoko, Baker | Brown, Ugbo, Piazon

HALF-TIME: Solid effort from Lampard’s Chelsea so far. Michy, Gallagher, Drinwater, Ampadu, Palmer showing good fight and even a bit of sharpness. Kenedy key foray forward for the goal.

45+1min: The whistle goes for the half, with Chelsea leading 1-0.

45min: Chipped ball from Drinkwater almost finds Batshuayi, but Bohs clear and attempt to launch a counter. But the ball is inaccurate. 1 minute added on.

43min: Kenedy, who’s quietly had a decent half, with a rough landing after an aerial challenge. Physios on to check his back, neck, and arm, which seemed to be in an awkward position. He seems okay to carry on.

39min: Another good ball from Palmer to Michy, who almost fashion a good chance save for a stumble. Still gets his shot in, which is saved for a corner. Pedro takes that and in the scramble that follows, Azpi almost gets lucky. The goalkeeper eventually gathers.

38min: Chelsea’s turn to play out under pressure, which we do, but Pedro’s pass to Batshuayi is a bit errant and Bohs have it back. Drinkwater’s then called for a foul from behind.

35min: Chelsea’s high press is beaten and Bohs storm through the middle. Guehi eventually closes down the ball carrier, who still gets his shot in. Caballero makes the save on the powerful drive straight at him. Caballero then makes the catch on a high cross.

33min: Drinkwater loses the ball in midfield and Wright comes forward for Bohs, getting himself into another shooting opportunity from range, but his effort is well wide.

32min: Ampadu with a glorious ball up to Batshuayi, who’s all alone but holds the ball up very well against two defenders, and waits for support to arrive, which eventually it does. Great work from Michy to keep possession.

29min: Drinkwater with a great interception in midfield, bursts forward and finds Batshuayi, who pulls it back towards the penalty spot. Gallagher arrives and takes it ahead of Pedro, but his effort rockets well over the bar.

28min: Chelsea force the turnover and Pedro comes forward, finding Palmer with a cutback. But he takes a few too many touches and the chance to shoot is gone.

26min: Game’s turning a bit chippy and Ampadu comes off worse after a 50-50 ball. A bit of magic spray and we’re good to carry on.

23min: Ampadu and Gallagher a little over-eager in their pressing and called for fouls. Good to see the effort though.

22min: Chelsea win a corner after Bats’ shot is blocked. Nice through ball from Palmer to create that shooting opportunity. The corner is wayward however, and way too long.

21min: Chelsea doing well in winning the ball high up (Ampadu, Palmer) and keeping possession.

18min: Chelsea pressing high and almost win the ball through Palmer and Sterling, but Bohs keep possession. A long ball over the top is eventually too long and Caballero gathers.

14min: Great through ball from Pedro to Gallagher, but his cutback into a good area only finds a red-black shirt. At the other end, Kenedy defends well after Drinkwater gives away a foul in midfield. Caballero then sharp to come off his line and gather a loose touch.

13min: Azpi fouled but no call and Wright comes forward, but his through ball is a bit too long and Caballero can clear for a corner, which comes to nothing.

11min: Batshuayi almost in after an errant back pass, but a last-ditch tackle from the defender saves the day for the home side.

10min: Palmer wins a free kick in a good position. Drinkwater and Pedro stand over it. The latter hits it, and it’s not close. That’s the probably the last time he takes one!

8min: GOOOL! Kenedy bounds forward from the left, takes aim but his shot is blocked. The rebound however falls to Michy, who holds off his defender and bashes it into the back of the net! 1-0, CHELSEA!

6min: Kasey Palmer tries a foray forward on the left after Batshuayi tries the same on the right. Plenty of rust though and they both fizzle out.

2min: Bohs launch a big ball forward, Sterling’s header goes to a red-black shirt and Wright, the trialist takes aim from 20 yards, dragging his shot just wide.

1min: Indeed it’s a 4-2-3-1, with Kenedy at left back, Azpi in center, Sterling on the right. Ampadu and Drinkwater in the pivot, Gallagher as the nominal No.10. Ampadu already snaps in with the game’s first big challenge.

KICK-OFF: Technical advisor Petr Čech confirms that two teams of XI will feature, with a full change presumably happening at half-time. And so the Liquidator plays and the teams walk out. Chelsea in all blue, Bohs in red-black stripes. A minute’s applause for famous fan Oran Tully follows. The young man passed away last year after a long battle with illness.

Chelsea “should” be winning this easily, but results hardly matter. Mourinho’s first ever (preseason) game in charge of Chelsea in 2004 was a 1-1 draw against Oxford United. Fake games and all that (even if the struggles in the 2015 preseason pinpointed the struggles to follow).
