According to the spying eyes of @CarefreeYouth, Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kanté is training apart from the main group for now — explaining his absence from the training ground pictures. Presumably, this is precautionary after his knee injury that almost caused him to miss the Europa League final at the end of May.

Kanté suffered that knee injury just a few days before the final and his participation was doubtful at best. But somehow he was not only able to start the match, he finished out the full 90. He then joined up with the French national team, but they sent him back home as precaution after what they called an “evolution” of the injury. Since then, Kanté had been on holidays, joining up with the rest of the squad on Monday alongside most of the rest of the first-team. But apparently he’s not quite 100 per cent just yet.

A little precaution certainly won’t be amiss in this case. Here’s to a full and complete recovery for the most important player in the squad!
