Barcelona are monitoring Marcus Rashford and Juan Mata’s contract situations but neither of the two Manchester United players are priorities for the Catalan club, sources have told ESPN FC. Rashford, 21, has just one year to run on his deal at Old Trafford, although United have an option to extend his deal by an additional year.

Sessegnon wants Spurs

Ryan Sessegnon has told Fulham he will not sign a contract to replace the one that expires next summer and has set his heart on a move to Tottenham. The 19-year-old winger, who will be involved with England at the Under-21 European Championship in Italy and San Marino this month, has been chased by other top clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United.

AVB’s Marseille monitoring Ntcham & Leiva

After national outlets discussed it, local newspaper La Provence followed suit on Friday, going out of their way to confirm that Marseille have reached out to ‘gather information’ about the Celtic midfielder, who struggled with injuries last season. The 23-year-old still managed to make 37 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals and assisting teammates once along the way.

Olympique Marseille are interested in poaching Lazio midfielder Lucas Leiva, according to French newspaper L’Equipe. The 32-year-old joined from Liverpool two years ago for just under €6m and has been a regular in the middle of the park.

Atletico Madrid are only missing an official announcement on the signing of FC Porto captain Hector Herrera, report Diario AS. Herrera joined the Portuguese champions from Pachuca in 2013 for €11m but is into the final month of his contract at the Estadio Dragao.

Ciprian Tatarusanu is set to change club. The ex-Fiorentina goalkeeper is staying in France but moving from Nantes, where he spent the past two seasons, to Lyon, where he will sign a four-year contract. Despite the ‘gentleman’s agreement’ between Shakhtar Donetsk and current manager Paulo Fonseca - that stated he would be relieved of his duties for free in the case of an important offer - today, the Ukrainian does not intend on letting the Portuguese 46-year-old leave that easy. Fonseca’s agents, via telephone and e-mail, have been informed that the only discount that the club is currently willing to grant, is a discount on his release clause envisaged on the contract (5 million euros). A discount of 2 million euros, this means that Roma would have to pay the requested 3 million euros for Fonseca to arrive.

Nacho at Inter?

Inter have asked Real Madrid about the availability of Nacho Fernandez. New coach Antonio Conte wants the Spanish defender to bolster his defensive options ahead of the new season. Real Betis are resigned to losing wing-back Junior Firpo this summer amid interest from Barcelona and the Premier League, say reports in Spain. Gianluigi Buffon’s Paris Saint-Germain exit has opened the door for Keylor Navas to arrive at the Parc des Princes, with the Ligue 1 side keen on luring the Costa Rican to the French capital. Keylor has known for almost three weeks now that he’s not in Real Madrid’s plans for next season and PSG have arrived to offer him an exit from the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu. Wolves hope to land Liverpool’s Portuguese starlet Rafael Camacho, the Express & Star understands. The 19-year-old forward has a year left on his contract at Anfield and it’s believed the Reds are willing to sell for around £10million. United get the calciomercato going

Daniel James is due to arrive at Manchester United’s Carrington training complex on Thursday to undergo a medical ahead of his expected £15 million ($19m) transfer from Swansea City, Goal can confirm. The 21-year-old Wales international was originally scheduled to complete his switch to Old Trafford in May but, after the sudden death of his father Kevan at the age of 60, James withdrew from the national training squad to spend time with his family.

Christian Eriksen has hinted he would be interested in a move to Real Madrid after revealing he wants to leave Tottenham to “try something new”. Eriksen has been linked with a move away from north London for some time after failing to negotiate a new contract with Spurs.
