Zidane vs Perez rumbles on
Madrid are also in the market for either Paul Pogba or Christian Eriksen, two big-name players that are difficult to prise away from their respective clubs - less so in the case of the Danish playmaker, whose contract with Tottenham ends in 2020. However, the problem in the upper echelons of Real Madrid is that a decision is yet to be made over exactly which one. Pogba is Zidane’s player of choice; Eriksen Real Madrid’s.

Barella happy to move to Inter
Inter’s top target for their midfield is Cagliari’s Nicolò Barella. The Nerazzurri directors met with Alessandro Beltrami, Barella’s agent, on Tuesday evening. Inter learned in the meeting that the midfielder would agree to a transfer to Inter.

The Sardinian club have set the price for the young midfielder at 50 million, however the sum could be lowered with the involvement of some Nerazzurri’s players in the deal. Cagliari don’t seem willing to accept young prospect, as they would prefer to bring in already established players that could help the team right away. The names on the table are those of Eder, currently at Jiangsu Suning; Alessandro Bastoni, with Cagliari pushing to involve the 1999-born defender in the deal; and French winger Yann Karamoh, who spent last season on loan at Bordeaux.
