David Silva has confirmed that next season will be his last at Manchester City. The midfielder is heading into his 10th season with the Premier League champions, having signed with the club from Valencia in 2010.

Juventus and Paul Pogba will ask Adidas for help getting the midfielder away from Manchester United, claim the Corriere dello Sport. The newspaper and Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà maintain Pogba’s sponsors could play a key role in bringing the midfielder back to Turin.

Sampdoria are looking at Napoli winger Simone Verdi as an alternative to Sassuolo’s Domenico Berardi for a much cheaper €20m. The Blucerchiati have brought in new Coach Eusebio Di Francesco and are trying to rebuild the squad in the form of his 4-3-3 tactics According to Il Secolo XIX newspaper, Berardi is the first choice, but Sassuolo are asking for €40m.

Genoa and Inter are reportedly working together to clinch a deal for Argentina Under-20 winger Pedro de la Vega. Manchester United believe they can land Sevilla striker Wissam Ben Yedder this summer and will trigger his €40m release clause, say reports. The 28-year-old has recently told reporters that he will consider a transfer this summer while Diario AS cited a report from Soccerlink.fr that there has already been contact from Paris Saint-Germain.

Moreno on the move

WHAT

After the initial contacts held earlier today between Shanghai Shenhua, Roma and Stephan El Shaarawy, the Chinese clubs has been in talks with the Italian striker’s entourage. Shanghai has submitted an improved offer to the former Milan player, offering him a 3-year-deal with wages set at 16 million per year (as opposed to the 12 million of the previous offer). The player is pondering the possibility to go to Asia but he also wants to evaluate the financial aspects of the deal and whether he will receive a sign-on bonus.

Progress

Edin Dzeko is moving closer to Inter. The deal with Roma has been pushed ahead: the sides have agreed to a transfer fee of €10m plus the rights to Inter young player Edoardo Vergani, born in 2001. The price gap was made up thanks to Vergani’s inclusion as the counterpart in the deal. The move could be officially announced before the month’s end.

Milan is becoming more confident that they’ll be able to acquire Torreira from Arsenal. The player is interested in playing for the rossonero club and intends to push Arsenal to allow him to return to Italy, where he’d also like to go for family reasons. The player’s relationship with new manage Giampaolo is very strong and not only due to their time together with Sampdoria, but also for the link with Federico Giampaolo, brother of the Milan manager, who knew and coached Torrerira at Pescara.

The right day

Roma and Napoli are working on an agreement for Manolas, behind the payment of the release clause and the insertion of Diawara into the deal. Juventus have had another day of contacts for De Ligt, and tomorrow could be the day where a deal is reached with Mino Raiola on the player’s wages. There are still details yet to be finalized but the confidence continues to grow. The next 24 hours should be decisive to completing a deal. De Ligt has confirmed his preference is for Juventus, who must find the definitive agreement on the contact and beat out the competition for the defender.
