After Callum Hudson-Odoi posted a very encouraging video of his ongoing injury recovery a few days ago, Reece James is the next Chelsea player to share an update of his journey back to full fitness.
The right-back sustained some ligament damage in his ankle on international duty for England’s under-21 side at the start of the month and things were looking bleak. Fortunately, it looks like the need for surgery has been avoided.
Recovery is going well. Hope to be back out on the pitch again soon! pic.twitter.com/XmEJiOeHqo

While James is still quite a bit off from returning to the pitch, the initial scares of him missing up to three months of football no longer seem all that concerning. As with with Callum, potential setbacks cannot be ruled out, but, for now, this looks like a very positive sign.
The sooner Reece can get back out there, the better his chances will be of staking a claim in the Chelsea first-team for next season. Today, he’s splashing around in the pool, tomorrow he’ll be dominating the Premier League! It is known.
