The world’s biggest charity match comes to Stamford Bridge

Football’s back at Stamford Bridge tonight, as the stars and celebrities of Soccer Aid 2019 get ready to play in front of a sold-out stadium and raise money for a good cause in support of UNICEF.

This will the eighth edition of Soccer Aid, and the first held at the Bridge. Historically, Old Trafford has been its home, which usually meant a sizable contingent of former Manchester United stars turning up as well. Accordingly, this year’s game means that a large contingent of former Chelsea legends and players are showing up.

Barring any last-minute changes, it looks like the event will not disappoint. John Terry, Didier Drogba, Michael Essien, Joe Cole, Ricardo Carvalho, Glen Johnson, and Katie Chapman will all be involved. split between the England XI (officially captained by Mo Farrah) and the World XI (officially captained by Usain Bolt).

Should be fun!
