Napoli’s official radio station claims Tottenham Hotspur right-back Kieran Trippier is ‘very close’ to joining the club this summer. According to Valter De Maggio, the director of Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli, Trippier could soon be headed for the San Paolo, despite interest from Juventus.

Manchester City are optimistic about their chances of persuading Vincent Kompany to sign a one-year contract extension. Kompany, the 33-year-old captain, scored a stunning 25-yard winner against Leicester City on Monday to put his team within one win of retaining the Premier League title. Txiki Begiristain, the director of football, held talks with Kompany and his representatives last month about extending his deal, which expires on June 30. More talks will take place after the FA Cup final against Watford.
