How should Chelsea line up against Arsenal in the Europa League final?

Chelsea vs. Arsenal, Europa League: You choose the starting lineup

Ten months, sixty two games. Time for one more. It’s the Europa League final, and despite the controversy, the silliness, and the general disregard, it’s still a European final. And those don’t come along every year. They still matter. Add in the fact that it’s a London derby and a chance to deny the Champions League to Arsenal, and the significance in footballing terms grows even stronger.

So, how to approach such a big final? How about playing our strongest defender? Nope, Rüdiger is recovering from meniscus surgery. Our best attacking midfielder? Nope, Loftus-Cheek is recovering from Achilles surgery. Our most exciting young winger and x-factor? Nope, Hudson-Odoi is also recovering from Achilles surgery.

To make matters worse, our most important player is probably out as well. N’Golo Kanté did travel, but remains very much doubtful for tomorrow’s game thanks to what’s been described so far as a “twisted knee”.

So it’s all up to Eden Hazard, but what else is new? It’s his perfect goodbye. But ten others have to be picked for the starting lineup as well. So, choose wisely.
