Exit confirmed

Felipe has confirmed his impending exit from Porto ahead of an expected move to Atletico Madrid. The 30-year-old centre-back joined Porto from Corinthians in 2016 and swiftly established himself as a key player, featuring 93 times in the Primeira Liga in his three years. A Brazil international, Felipe has been linked with a move away from the club for the last few months.

Like-for-like

Atletico Madrid have made Benfica star Joao Felix their number one priority to replace the outgoing Antoine Griezmann, according to Marca. Felix, 19, has risen to prominence for the Lisbon-based giants this season and netted 20 goals while registering 11 assists for the club, who regained the Portuguese top flight.

Cavani to Atletico

Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani has given his approval over a move to Atletico Madrid this summer, say reports. El Mundo Deportivo cite a report on Spanish radio station Cadena Ser that the Uruguayan will arrive at Los Rojiblancos, but only in the event of Diego Costa leaving the club this summer.

Napoli

Giovanni Di Lorenzo to Napoli: the negotiation is now in the closing phase. Following first contact with Empoli and the player that occurred over the past few weeks, tomorrow morning, the Partenopei leadership will meet with the recently demoted Serie B side to conclude the operation for the Italian right-back. Di Lorenzo’s price tag is said to set at around 10 million euros.

Approach rejected

Napoli had expressed their interest in Fede Valverde, but Real Madrid have informed the Italian team that the Uruguayan is not available. Zinedine Zidane has made clear that the midfielder is part of his plans for the upcoming season. The Frenchman is counting on Valverde, seeing the 20-year-old not only as a huge prospect for the future but also as a player ready to compete at a high level now.

Ramos to China?

The tension between Sergio Ramos and Florentino Perez has skyrocketed to the point that the captain has made his mind up and wants to leave Real Madrid this summer. Ramos believes that their relationship has reached a point of no return and that the bridges between them have been burned with no possibility of rebuilding. ”The relationship is broken, the communication is almost non-existent,” ‘El Partidazo’ of Spanish radio station Cope reported.

Despite reports he could be heading to China, the board and Zidane remain optimistic and do not see him leaving this summer. The situation is reminiscent of the 2015 drama that surrounded Ramos’ future. After a difficult season that ended with Carlo Ancelotti’s sacking and while Ramos had two years to go on his contract, there were rumblings of a possible move to Manchester United. In the end, he signed an extension for four years and a much better salary.
