Arsene Wenger has an offer to return to management at Japanese outfit Vissel Kobe, Goal understands. The Frenchman has been out of work since leaving Arsenal in the summer of 2018. He has been mulling over his options after seeing a 22-year spell in north London brought to a close.

United in talks with Betis over Firpo

Los Verdiblancos are also in discussions with Manchester United over the sale of left-back Júnior Firpo, 22, who in recent months has also been attracting interest from Madrid. Despite a chequered injury record that has restricted Firpo’s involvement for Betis of late, United are ready to pay 25 to 30 million euros for the Spain Under-21 international, who will be at the European Under-21 Championship in June.

Manchester United are poised to move for Sean Longstaff and hope a bid of £25million will be enough to land the Newcastle starlet. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes the 21-year-old will develop into a top class all-round midfielder and has identified him as one of a host of emerging British talents he wants to bring to Old Trafford this summer.

Welbeck to don blue

Everton are favorites to sign Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck on a free transfer this summer. The 28-year-old is back in full training after undergoing surgery on his right ankle in November, scoring a hat-trick in a behind-closed-doors match last week as the Gunners step up their preparations for next Wednesday’s Europa League Final against Chelsea.

Juventus have held positive talks over renewing the contract of teenage sensation Moise Kean, Goal understands. The 19-year-old is contracted to the Serie A champions until 2020 and, following the positive impact he’s made with the first team in the 2018-19 campaign, they want to reward him with an extension and improved terms.

Sky Sport Italia claim Roma striker Edin Dzeko has agreed terms for a transfer to Inter, where he’ll reunite with Radja Nainggolan. It is not a new rumour of interest in the Bosnian, but this time the report suggests a deal has been done, at least between the player and his next club.

Napoli need fullbacks

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis has reportedly given the green light for negotiations to begin with Tottenham Hotspur’ €30m-rated right-back Kieran Trippier. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the England international has expressed his desire to join the Azzurri and De Laurentiis is willing to close the deal.

Napoli are reportedly closing in on Empoli right-back Giovanni Di Lorenzo, while a return for Fabio Quagliarella is also on the cards. According to Italian daily newspaper Il Mattino, the Azzurri are looking for replacements for both Mario Rui and Elseid Hysaj.

Carlo’s happiness takes precedence

Napoli will reportedly keep Coach Carlo Ancelotti happy and offer Jose Maria Callejon a two-year extension on his contract that runs out next season. Newcastle United are understood to have been tracking Spanish Under-20 international Marc Cucurella this season. Sources in Spain say that United are one of several clubs taking a look at the marauding left-back after a good campaign with Eibar following a season long loan deal from Barcelona. Eibar have a €2m option on Cucurella but in a complex transfer, Barca will then considering buying him back for €4million this summer before having a look at their next move.

Real Madrid are in talks with Lyon over the potential signing of left-back Ferland Mendy as Zinedine Zidane begins a summer overhaul of his squad, Goal understands. However, he is under contract with Lyon through 2023 and should the Frenchman prove too expensive, there are other alternatives for Los Blancos. Junior Firpo has produced a stellar campaign with Real Betis - scoring and assisting in a memorable 4-3 victory over Barcelona - and could be a cheaper option.
