Chelsea have officially launched the latest Nike creation, the home kit for the upcoming 2019-20 season.

As seen in recent leaks, it is very much ‘90s inspired and is basically a knock-off of the 1992 home shirt. It features a somewhat abstract all-over pattern, inspired by various features of the stands at Stamford Bridge. It’s complemented by blue shorts and white socks (fortunately the leaks were incorrect about the blue socks).

The kit launch features Chelsea talisman, Eden Hazard prominently, which surprising in a way — Real Madrid don’t wear blue, Eden! — and unsurprising in others — obviously the club will push our most famous player to the front, and if he is to leave, get every bit of marketing out of him.

“We’ve created so many memories at The Bridge over the years, so it’s only fitting that we pay tribute to such an iconic stadium through the jersey,”

Let’s create more memories, shall we?

The new kit will debut this weekend, in the last home match of the Premier League season, against Watford. It is now available to purchase at the Megastore and Nike, should you so choose.
