90+1min: And it’s over.

87min: James puts in a nice cross from the right that the goalkeeper can only palm back into the middle. Pedro hits the post but Willian puts home the rebound ... but he’s offside. Greeno’s on.

86min: Rob Green gets up off the bench and is celebrated by teammates and fans alike.

82min: Willian gets seemingly taken out in the penalty area but no call’s coming from the referee. Oh well.

77min: The match is still going on, but RLC’s injury has made it far less appetizing. Reece James comes on for Zappacosta. Trevoh Chalobah’s on for Barkley.

69min: RLC cannot continue and limps off while supported by the physios. Connor Gallagher is on in his stead. The injury is very concerning, especially if it was a non-contact injury.

67min: Loftus-Cheek is down and is hurting after a foul by the Revolution. Uh oh.

64min: Goal’s been given to Barkley.

62min: GOAL! Higuain! or Barkley! And then, Willian takes a corner, cuts it back towards the penalty spot, where Higuain makes the curling and gets to it to hit it towards goal. It deflects off Barkley and into the back of the net. 3-0, CHELSEA!

61min: Chelsea keeping up the pressure but without too much goalmouth action. After all, it’s just a friendly.

54min: Chelsea continue to dominate possession, and as the Revolution make a hash of an easy clearance, Higuain is on hand to smack one towards goal ... but he hits the crossbar! Amusing.

48min: Revolution with the half’s first chance after a poor turnover from Chelsea, but Caballero’s equal to the shot and catches it.

Ch-ch-changes: Willian, Azpilicueta, Emerson, Higuain, Loftus-Cheek and Caballero are on. Hazard, Zappacosta Christensen, Alonso, Giroud, Kovacic, and Kepa are done. Revolution make a bunch of changes as well, but those are even harder to keep track of.

HALF-TIME: 2-0 Chelsea, could be 4-0. Fortunately no injuries for Chelsea.

45+1min: Alonso fools three to get his cross in, but it’s blocked for a corner. Chelsea play it short and hold possession before playing around on the left, finding Alonso again (great through by David Luiz), who lays it across on a plate for Pedro ... who misses again! Should’ve had two by himself!

43min: Pedro misses a glorious chance after Giroud won the ball back and gave it to him. Nice by the goalkeeper, but expected Pedro to bury that.

42min: Bunbury tries his luck from distance. Wide.

41min: Giroud tests the goalkeeper from a tight angle, who’s up to the challenge and makes the solid block.

39min: Now it’s Agudelo goes down after a clash of knees with one of the Chelsea players. He looks ok to continue.

38min: Barkley busts out the Kerlon seal dribble in midfield and gets fouled for his insolence.

35min: Buchanan for the Revolution has managed to pick up an arm injury in awkward clearance. Hate to see that... Juan Agudelo, briefly of the Premier League, comes on for him.

30min: The Revolution, who are in the middle of their MLS season, make four early changes.

29min: GOAL! Giroud! There is goal number two. Barkley and Pedro combine, then bring Zappacosta into play. He picks out Giroud with a cross, who may be offside but make no mistake with his header. 2-0, CHELSEA!

28min: Chelsea should have two, but Pedro’s cross just eludes Giroud, and Hazard, instead of taking a shot, lays it back to the top of the box, where it’s intercepted. Classic Hazard!

25min: David Luiz sends one long and Hazard catches up to it. He brings Barkley into play, but his pass/shot is blocked by a hand. Chelsea appeal for a penalty, which is pretty funny.

23min: Hazard gets into the penalty area but is closed down by three. His cutback is cut out as well. Revolution come forward and create a shot that bounces harmlessly over.

18min: Christensen half-slips on a pass at halfway and turns it over, but the Revolution can’t make much with it before Chelsea stream back and recover.

17min: A decent ball in from Revolution is tracked well by Christensen and Kepa collects.

16min: Hazard wins a corner and the crowd gets excited by his proximity. Chelsea play it short and hold possession.

14min: Zappacosta tries a fancy move to get past his man, he gets the nutmeg but does not get the corner.

13min: Game being played at a customary friendly tempo. Chelsea practicing some possession. Fun!

8min: An almost carbon copy of the first goal results in a corner, from which the Revolution counter before Kovacic and Jorginho mop up in the penalty area.

3min: GOAL! Barkley! Didn’t take too long. Pedro crosses from the right, finds Barkley. He takes a touch, shifts to his right, and hammers past Turner in goal. 1-0, CHELSEA!

KICK-OFF: Revs in blue, Chelsea in yellow, 25k in attendance, including Roman Abramovich. Here we go.
