Chelsea arrived safely in Boston earlier today (Monday) ahead of Wednesday’s charity friendly against the New England Revolution, dubbed the “Final Whistle on Hate”, the latest high profile effort from the club to help combat anti-Semitism.
Fresh off our third place finish in the Premier League, all the big stars have flown out, minus of course the injured contingent of Callum Hudson-Odoi, Antonio Rudiger, and N’Golo Kante.
In addition to the usual first-team players, three youth players and two early loan returnees have joined up as well.
As confirmed by the official Chelsea website, the full 23-man traveling squad is as follows:
GOALKEEPERS: Kepa Arrizabalaga, Willy Caballero, Rob Green
DEFENDERS: Andreas Christensen, David Luiz, Cesar Azpilicueta, Marcos Alonso, Davide Zappacosta, Emerson, Marc Guehi, Reece James
MIDFIELDERS: Jorginho, Ross Barkley, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Mateo Kovacic, Trevoh Chalobah, Conor Gallagher
FORWARDS: Eden Hazard, Willian, Pedro, Olivier Giroud, Gonzalo Higuain, Ike Ugbo
A bit of afternoon training has been scheduled as the squad recover from the season, and get ready for this match on Wednesday as well as the Europa League final on May 29.
Thanks for the welcome, Boston!
