Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio is rumored to be in London for tonight’s Champions League match between Tottenham and Manchester City, with eyes on Ilkay Gundogan. According to FcInterNews.it, the Germany international midfielder has been in their sights for some time.

Chain reaction

Spanish newspaper AS claim PSG are leading the €50m race to sign Alex Sandro, so Juventus will ask Real Madrid for Marcelo. Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro is on the market this summer, as his performances have dropped over the last year and the Bianconeri have Leonardo Spinazzola now back from injury.

Andy to leave

Andy Carroll’s career at West Ham United is over after the forward had ankle surgery that will rule him out for the rest of the season. The east London club have already indicated that they will not trigger a two-year extension on his contract, worth £80,000 a week, and the England forward can leave as a free agent this summer.

No Felipe Anderson sale

West Ham have no intention of allowing Felipe Anderson to leave the club this summer, Sky Sports News understands. The Hammers broke their transfer record last summer to sign Anderson from Serie A side Lazio, spending an initial £35m.

Swap deal in the works

Maximilian Philipp of a candidate that has Yugoslav sporting Director Max Eberl for hazard heritage in mind is speculated as the Rheinische Post. Philipp, who is versatile in terms of offensive, joined 2017 for 20 million euros from SC Freiburg at Borussia Dortmund, but so far not permanently prevailed there despite strong performance in its first months. It would be so well possible that Dortmund officials at an adequate offer for the 25-year-old would be ready.

Official Resignation

Fiorentina have announced that Stefano Pioli has resigned as the club’s Coach. “My professional and human qualities have been questioned.” A statement on the club’s official website confirmed Pioli had stepped down, while his assistant Giacomo Murelli took training ‘normally’ on Tuesday morning.

Vincenzo Montella has reportedly been in contact with Fiorentina to take over from Stefano Pioli rather than wait for Eusebio Di Francesco in June. Pioli resigned this afternoon when he felt the club no longer had faith in him and wrote an open letter to fans. Primavera youth team Coach Emiliano Bigica is taking charge of training for the moment and could well be on the bench for the rest of the season. However, Alfredo Pedullà of Sportitalia insists the Viola are in talks with Montella for a second stint at the club, having already been their Coach from 2012 to 2015.

Conte being greedy

Antonio Conte is reportedly demanding a €10m salary after tax to become Inter’s next Coach. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter President Steven Zhang has instructed general manager Beppe Marotta to bring Conte to the club.

LB target acquired

Barcelona are extensively scouting Wolves full-back Ruben Vinagre with a view to a summer transfer. O Jogo claim the Catalan giants have been sending a team of scouts to monitor the 20-year-old’s progress and are monitoring the potential of a deal. The Blaugrana are hopeful of signing a left-back to provide competition for first-choice Jordi Alba, with youngster Juan Miranda likely to be loaned out this summer.

Sources close to the club in Madrid have speculated since Saturday’s defeat that patience has run out and the offers for the 30-year-old will be listened to at the end of the season. Weigl to leave

Julian Weigl wants to leave Borussia Dortmund this summer, according to Bild. The 23-year-old Germany international joined Dortmund in 2016 after coming through the ranks at 1860 Munich. But Weigl is one of several stars frustrated with Lucien Favre in the aftermath of Dortmund’s loss to Bayern Munich, having made only 17 total appearances this season.

But it won’t be easy to pull him away from the Wanda Metropolitano and Atletico Madrid hope to officially announce a renewal for the Slovenian this week, which will see him sign on beyond 2021.
