Rob Green’s greatest Chelsea moment and other training ground shenanigans

Close your legs, Marcos!

The games are coming thick and fast as we enter the final, crucial stretch of the season, and there’s probably plenty of drama and tension on tap. So perhaps unsurprisingly, Chelsea kept it a bit less serious and a bit more fun in training this week(end?).

There were races and rondos and rowdiness, a bit of friendly competition and lots of friendly shenanigans, most of which can be seen in this week’s edition of Chelsea:Unseen — nice to see this feature still going strong on YouTube despite the 5th Stand App nonsense. The races between Kante & Hudson-Odoi, Giroud & Loftus-Cheek, and Hazard & Drinkwater were especially amusing (starts at the 1:11 mark of the video above).

But not quite as amusing as the reaction of the players when Rob Green (ROB GREEN!) nutmegged Marcos Alonso in the big group rondo at the end of training. Sadly, the video does not have sound (it’s taken from the main overview camera that films all the training), but one can imagine the absolute bedlam that was going on just based on all the jumping around.

Rob Green saved a penalty in preseason; now he’s pulled off this amazing nutmeg in training. Legend!

Silly kids.
