Monthly awards from the Premier League have been in short supply around Cobham this season — Hazard’s Player of the Month for September the only one — especially after Chelsea’s dozen-match unbeaten start to Sarri-ball was exposed for a bit of a hoax, but for the month of March, Eden Hazard has been nominated for Goal of the Month.
While he probably won’t win — there are finer long-range efforts in the mix than his, and Diogo Jota’s goal against Cardiff City was certainly a result of a great bit of teamplay — but it’s nice to see a Chelsea name in there just for a change, and not just in the “against” column, like for award-winning goals by Daniel Sturridge (September) and Son Heung-min (November).
You can watch all eight nominees in the video embedded below, then head over to Carling’s official site to vote for the most deserving player Eden Hazard.
