Eden Hazard may have been snubbed for PFA Team of the Year honors, but he’s been nominated for Premier League Player of the Month for April, while also picking up a Goal of the Month nomination for the second consecutive month. Considering how much we rely on him for goals and wins, it’s only fair that he gets some popular recognition and acknowledgement as well.
Hazard is one of eight nominees for Player of the Month, though his resume of 3 goals, 2 assists, and 2 wins probably won’t be enough on its own to put him ahead of other candidates such as Mo Salah (4 goals, 1 assist, 4 wins) or Jamie Vardy and Ayoze Perez, both of whom scored 5 goals over the past month. Also nominated are Jordan Henderson, Aymeric Laporte, and Chris Wood of Burnley.

Hazard may not have scored the most goals in April, but he possibly scored the greatest goal in April, his individual effort against West Ham United.
That is one of eight nominees for Goal of the Month, alongside teammate Gonzalo Higuain’s rasping effort off the underside of the bar against Burnley. Also nominated are the usual spate of boring long bombs (Will Hughes, Mo Salah v. Chelsea, Nathaniel Mendez-Lang, Christian Eriksen, and Ryan Babel) and a rather wonderful counter-attacking goal from Bournemouth, which Dan Gosling finished off.
