90+7min: Higuain breaks the offside trap for once, but doesn’t finish his chance! Chelsea waste the following corner. FULL TIME.

90+6min: Chelsea doesn’t make their final half-chances count.

90+3min: RLC lines up a shot from distance but gets it all wrong.

90+2min: United have a corner as McTominay holds off three Chelsea players. Young takes, Rojo heads, and Pedro clears off the line! At the other end, Shaw clears as Higuaín and Hazard try to counter.

90min: Massive tackle (foul?) from Azpilicueta prevents a United counter that came from Hazard’s blocked shot. 7 minutes added on.

89min: Ashley Young gets a yellow for spiking the ball after RLC wins a foul off Herrera.

88min: Decent work from Kanté and Chelsea in the middle gets Pedro a half-chance, but his shot is wild and high.

87min: Neither team wants to lose at this point, and the quality of play is suffering as a result.

84min: Willian goes off, Pedro’s on. Willian understandably not happy with Rojo.

81min: McTominay replaces Mata.

78min: Back-to-back fouls from Rojo, including a red card-worthy one on Willian gets Rojo a yellow card. Willian limps off gingerly, but seems okay to carry on.

76min: Mata tries to weave some magic before a Lukaku hard cross is well-collected by Kepa. At the other end, Higuaín is offside, again.

75min: Loftus-Cheek finally on for Kovačić.

72min: After the long injury break, Willian takes the free kick, but it’s over the bar.

71min: Marcos Rojo replaces Bailly, who limps off supported by the physios.

68min: And now it’s Bailly, who just got away with a two-footed challenge on Alonso, is down hurt and it looks like his knee is gone after colliding with Kovačić, who was fouled by Ander Herrera. Bailly’s day, season, and maybe next season is done.

65min: David Luiz kicks the ball out of play to get Christensen on. But David Luiz is down as well, holding his groin. He seems okay to carry on. Alexis on for Rashford for United.

63min: Loftus-Cheek is ready to replace Kovačić, but that’s delayed as Rüdiger’s down holding the same knee he had injured two weeks ago. He’s unable to carry on.

60min: Atkinson’s letting them play again. Nothing worse than an inconsistent referee.

58min: Hazard finds Willian, but his cross is cut out by De Gea before it could get to Higauín. A bit of tempo explodes for a little bit amid the languid second-half, but United eventually calm it down with some possession.

56min: Chelsea have a corner; Willian takes, it’s half-cleared to Jorginho at the top of the box. This time, instead of shooting, he tries a floated ball to the far post, but it’s only Hazard there and it’s too high for him.

54min: Kovačić called for a foul and gets a yellow for kicking the ball away. Chelsea make a mess of clearing the free kick, but Bailly’s cross/shot is pounced on by Kepa.

52min: Decent work from Chelsea to create a crossing chance from Alonso, but Matic cuts it out a strides forward, finding Mata. He’s tackle from behind by Willian, who gets the ball, the foul, and the yellow card. Nothing worse than an inconsistent referee.

49min: A cheap turnover from Kepa puts United in possession in the Chelsea half but the defense stays strong and Hazard can come away with it. Except he’s fouled (uncalled) and United come again. Kanté shoulders Bailly off the ball, but for some reason it’s called a foul. Rashford tries the top spin from 25 yards out, but Kepa holds well on the bounce.

46min: No changes at half for either side as Chelsea restart the game.

45+2min: HALF-TIME. All even. HAHA!

45min: Rashford breaks Chelsea’s lines again, but he dallies on the ball lets Chelsea get back into position. Azpilicueta can clear for a corner on Mata’s cross, which Chelsea defend well enough.

44min: GOAL!!!!! ALONSO!!!! De Gea gifts the equalizer to Chelsea after spilling Rudiger’s long shot straight into the path of Alonso, who kisses inside of the far post. 1-1!!!

43min: Ander Herrera gets a well overdue yellow, after hacking down Alonso.

42min: Pogba wins a foul near the corner flag off of Azpilicueta. Young swings in a big ball towards the far post, but fortunately it’s over the head of everyone else, including Bailly.

40min: United turning up the pressure again, Lukaku having fun and causing havoc. Chelsea surviving.

37min: Azpilicueta gets an arm to the chest from Matic, but thanks to the height difference, Azpi gets a faceful of arm instead. United play on briefly, but then Rashford goes down holding his leg, so play is stopped. Both players look okay to carry on.

33min: Kovačić and Jorginho combine to take out Pogba in the middle of the pitch; Young floats it towards the far post and United establish possession, creating a chance from the right for Mata through excellent movement. His cross is too close to Kepa and he catches, launching a Chelsea counter, but United recover well to get numbers back.

30min: A third corner in quick succession for United and Bailley’s header is just inches wide. Chelsea give the ball away from the goal kick, but Azpi tackles well again and Chelsea can break. Higuaín strays offside however.

28min: United break through Lukaku, who finds Rashford, but Azpilicueta recovers to block his path to goal and tackle clear for a corner. Chelsea almost make a mess of the corner itself as Rudiger heads against the back of Alonso’s head, but Azpi’s there to clear again.

26min: It’s been a decent response to going behind, but Chelsea’s terrible final third passing is really letting the team down.

22min: David Luiz’s chip for Kanté’s cleared, but Chelsea retain possession and win a corner as Willian’s cross is flicked wide. A different look in this one sees the corner floated directly to Jorginho at the top of the box, but he gets his first-time volley all wrong.

18min: Kanté’s fouled by Lindelof, but Atkinson gives a corner instead. Willian plays it short to Hazard, but the resulting cross is blocked for another corner. That one’s taken long, and eventually laid back to Jorginho at the top, but his curling effort is wayward. He was aiming for the top corner.

16min: Ander Herrera fouls Hazard. Drink! No yellow either. Alonso has a go from the free kick, 25 yards out, but his effort is harmlessly over.

11min: Goal! United. A chip over the top from Lukaku finds Shaw bursting through the lines, he cuts it back to the center from the byline and Mata finds the finish between three Chelsea defenders in or around the line. 1-0, United. Their first goal from open play in almost exactly 9 hours.

7min: Rashford comes forward on the left as United make a good start to the game.

4min: Kepa comes up big already, saving from Lukaku who got onto a ball from Shaw.

3min: Nice cross from Hazard on the left, but Kanté’s denied by a Shaw block.

KICK-OFF: United get us under way, wearing red socks.

Chelsea are already winners this weekend thanks to Spurs and Arsenal both losing, and could practically seal a top-four finish with a win tonight. We need to win two of the last three in any combination, although neither Watford (H) nor Leicester City (A) will be pushovers. But if we can three tonight, surely we could get three more from those last two games.
