Back to Italy

Juventus would like to sign Paul Pogba from Manchester United this summer but would have to sell two or three important players to be able to afford the Frenchman. United are likely to demand €130m for the 26-year-old. United want to keep the World Cup winner but his second spell at the club has not been a success so far. The midfielder may look to leave in the summer, especially if Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s side miss out on a Champions League place for next season.

Every possibility open

Acosta’s contract expires at the end of the year, and because soccer is global and operates differently than other U.S. pro sports, United must begin to address the matter now. The club could end up signing him or selling him. Or signing him now and selling him later. Or, in United’s worst-case scenario, losing him without compensation.

Revolution

Napoli are ready to completely revamp their full-backs, targeting Manuel Lazzari, Mohamed Fares, Kieran Trippier, Alex Grimaldo and Ben Chilwell. According to newspaper Il Mattino, none of the full-backs at the San Paolo have convinced this season and that is exactly why sporting director Cristiano Guintoli is seeking replacements.

Bargain

German newspaper Bild claims Roma are in the running for Werder Bremen forward Max Kruse, who will be a free agent this summer. The striker just turned 31 and has so far this season contributed 11 goals and 14 assists in 34 competitive games for his club.

The Old Lady way

It’s been reported that Juventus could consider offering one of Paulo Dybala, Gonzalo Higuain or Joao Cancelo plus money in exchange for Mauro Icardi. According to newspaper La Repubblica, the possibility for any potential move could be discussed tonight after the Derby d’Italia game between the sides at the San Siro.

Illegal

Manchester City have already opened talks with Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodri over a summer transfer, say Cadena Ser. This follows on from reports earlier this month that City were prepared to pay a club record fee to meet the holding midfielder’s €70m release clause.
