Oh my

Manchester United want Christian Eriksen to be a central part of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s rebuild at Old Trafford. United’s interest in Eriksen dates to Louis van Gaal’s reign and they are preparing to rival Real Madrid for his signature in the summer.

A ‘smaller’ rumor

Crystal Palace are tracking Birmingham City forward Che Adams as part of their search to sign a new striker this summer. The Eagles are looking to bolster their attacking options when the transfer window opens and a new centre forward is believed to be a priority.

Done deal?

Luciano Vietto is set to join Sporting CP this summer when he returns to Atletico Madrid from his loan at Fulham, according to reports. The Argentine striker has endured another frustrating campaign - netting just one goal in 22 appearances for the West London club, who have been relegated from the top flight. Portuguese channel RTP say the agreement for the 25-year-old to join Lisbon giants Sporting CP is already in place and is in relation to the deal which took Gelson Martins to Atleti last summer.

Leicester looking at Serie A goal-scorer

Leicester are exploring the possibility of signing the Atalanta striker Andrea Petagna, who is currently on loan at Spal, in the summer. Scouts have watched the 23-year-old, who has one full cap for Italy and scored 14 goals this season despite Spal being in the bottom half of the table, several times and Leicester are considering a bid of €20m. The situation is complicated by Spal having an obligation to buy Petagna for €10m if they avoid relegation, which is likely. They are 13th, nine points ahead of Empoli in the relegation zone, with five games to go.

Don’t do anything stupid, Inter

Internazionale are willing to end Alexis Sanchez’s disaster of a spell at Manchester United - but only if the Chilean drastically drops his demands. The forward was signed in January 2018 amid much fanfare, and for huge wages, but has badly struggled in his time at Old Trafford and only came on as a late substitute in the 2-0 defeat to Manchester City.

Richarlison on shortlist

Everton’s Richarlison is the latest player to be considered by Manchester United as part of a huge summer overhaul of their failing squad. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is understood to want as many as five signings including a versatile forward.

Another striker swap?

Is Mauro Icardi staying at Inter at 100% as Wanda Nara has been guaranteeing on numerous TV shows in the past few hours? For Sky transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the answer is no. “Because the dynamics after what happened this year between Inter and its former captain leave this possibility open. Now, all the clubs understand that Mauro is easier to reach than in the past as they can spend less than the €110M release clause. I believe that a transfer can be done but only through an exchange. With Napoli, it is complicated given the wage that Icardi is making. Same thing applies with Cavani but it is the other way around as Inter wouldn’t be able to afford his €12M per year in wages. As of right now, the only concrete option is to do an exchange and I would say with Manchester United for Lukaku.”

More smoke

Manchester City are considering making an offer for Benfica’s defensive midfielder Florentino Luís. The 19-year-old has just broken into the first team but already has a release clause of €60m. Benfica are hoping the teenager will sign a new contract soon to increase the clause to over €100m.

Juve also looking at Boateng

That’s why, despite continued contacts for the 21-year-old Ruben Dias of Benfica, the black-and-whites-through the usual middlemen-they took information about revolution designed by Bayern and in particular on Jerome Boateng, who convinces most of the fellow Mats Hummels Department.

What a swap!

Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Atletico Madrid striker Diego Costa and are willing to offer Edinson Cavani in exchange, say Cadena Cope. Costa has netted just five goals in 21 matches for Los Rojiblancos this season and it has been reported the club are open to a sale this summer. The Spain international refused to train with his Atletico Madrid teammates on Thursday last week after the club opened misconduct proceedings into his red card at Barcelona.

Weird

Milan are looking to a deal to sign out-of-favour Sevilla full-back Guilherme Arana this summer, according to reports. The 21-year-old joined the Andalusian club from Corinthians in January 2018 but has been involved in just 12 La Liga games over the course of 15 months, failing to dislodge first-choice Sergio Escudero.

Serious

Juventus are reportedly ‘serious’ about paying the €36m release clause of Roma defender Kostas Manolas. According to Corriere dello Sport, announcement of the transfer could be made as early as the end of the season. The newspaper writes agent Mino Raiola played ‘an important role’ in pushing the 27-year-old to Turin.

Zaniolo

Reports in Italy claim Tottenham Hotspur have made a €50m bid for Roma and Italy starlet Nicolo Zaniolo. La Repubblica writes Tottenham are ready to offer €50m for Zaniolo – €5m more than what Juventus are prepared to spend.

Insigne on the market

Napoli will reportedly sell Lorenzo Insigne this summer - and the forward would have no shortage of suitors. According to Corriere dello Sport, Insigne’s relationship with Napoli has broken after their fans turned on him once more against Arsenal last week. In turn, the Partenopei are ‘ready’ to move on from their captain, who remained a substitute during their 2-1 defeat to Atalanta and is valued at ‘no less than €70m’. The newspaper explains Liverpool, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain are the clubs at the front of the queue for the 27-year-old.

Lorenzo Insigne is reportedly ready to leave Napoli this summer, but the club will only sell for €100m as it stands. Corriere dello Sport reported earlier in the week that Napoli had planned to cash in on Insigne, and Il Mattino now writes a desire to go separate ways is reciprocal. The club captain has decided to seek pastures new and, with the help of his agent Mino Raiola, will try to push for a transfer. However, that would be hindered by Napoli’s demands of €100m so Raiola is at work to bring that figure down.

Interesting

Arsenal and Inter have joined the race to sign Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes permanently this summer, say El Mundo Deportivo. Everton - where the midfielder is currently playing - paid a season-long loan fee of €2.5m to land the Portuguese international but do not exercise an option to sign the midfielder permanently.

Resolve

Inevitable

Milan have reportedly opened talks with Malcom over a summer swoop for the Barcelona attacker. Corriere dello Sport cites sources in Spain that claim Milan representatives met members of Malcom’s camp to discuss a transfer.

Dilemma

The OG wunderkid

Martin Odegaard’s performances in the Dutch Eredivisie for Vitesse this campaign have not gone unnoticed, but Real Madrid have no intention of letting the promising Norwegian go. The 20-year-old has attracted particular interest from Champions League semi-finalists Ajax, who have been watching his progress closely this year. However, Real Madrid are taking a firm stance over any possible sale of the talented youngster, making it clear that they are not open to offers.
