Despite Wigan’s struggles in the Championship, Chelsea loanee Reece James is having a great season. In his first year as a professional, he has already caught the attention of many people within and outside Chelsea.

James’ awesome year has also caught the eyes of Manchester United. According to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils are currently monitoring the 19-year-old.

After being humiliated by Everton with a 4-0 defeat at Goodison Park last weekend, United are desperate to rise above this season's relative mediocrity. Their squad needs reinforcements in various positions, including the right-back and defensive midfielder roles James regularly plays for Wigan.

His sister, Lauren, already plays for United. Last Saturday, she scored four goals in a 7-0 thrashing of Crystal Palace to secure the Women’s Championship trophy in the Red Devils’ first season after reforming their women football team.

James’ current price is listed at £15 million, which seems awfully low for a potentially high-ceiling player with three years left on his Chelsea contract. On top of that, he is dominating against opponents much older and experienced than him week in and out, which is a remarkable feat even if he is only doing so at the second tier of English football.
