Chelsea 2-2 Burnley, Premier League: Post-match reaction

Two very costly dropped points for Chelsea, potentially even more costly injuries with Callum Hudson-Odoi and N’Golo Kante both forced off before the second-half. With Rudiger, Alonso, and Willian also dealing with injuries, these are coming at the worst possible time and, in Kante’s case, the worst possible victims.

Chelsea gave up two set piece goals, and while managed find the back of the net twice in quick succession in the first-half, could not do so in the second-half at all. So we settle for the 2-2 draw, in a must-win situation.

Chelsea ascend into the top-four, but need Arsenal to lose tomorrow to stay there.

There are three games to go after this one, including next weekend’s trip to Manchester United. Chelsea need help and need to win out to finish in the top four. Will have to do better than today to have any confidence in accomplishing that task.

KTBFFH.
