FULL TIME: LOL

88min: Burnley in full time-wasting mode now. Chelsea still not finding a breakthrough.

77min: Giroud replaces Higuain. Chelsea still not finding any joy.

62min: David Luiz goes long to Pedro, who goes to ground as Taylor puts an arm around him, but the referee is not interested in what’s a pretty obvious foul.

58min: Emerson has a go from distance, but it’s always going wide of the far post. It’s all one-way traffic, but Burnley are not giving in easily.

52min: Burnley force a bad turnover in the middle (Higuain and Jorginho both poor), but Chris Wood can’t sort his feet out and Chelsea recover. Kovacic blasts over at the other end.

51min: Hazard switches wide to Pedro, who finds Higuain in the box with a slidrule pass, but the striker’s finish is straight at Heaton.

48min: Emerson fashions a cross from the left, but it’s over everyone’s head and Burnley play out.

HALF-TIME: Kovacic has replaced Kante at half-time, for whatever reason.

45+3min: Kevin Friend blows for half-time.

45+2min: Loftus-Cheek gets another sore one from a Burnley midfielder, who are doing what Burnley do.

43min: Higuain almost finds Pedro with a seeing-eye ball, but the new man’s first touch is a bit rusty and the chance is gone. He then tries his luck from distance, but Heaton saves with ease.

41min: Hudson-Odoi has to limp off, supported by the two physios. Pedro’s on.

38min: CHO tries to play on, but has to go down for treatment. Pedro goes to warm-up. Willian already missing as a precaution.

36min: A Kante layoff almost finds Higuain for a shot, but it’s cleared. Chelsea keep up the high press, but eventually Hudson-Odoi loses the ball on a poor touch. To make matters worse, he looks to have injured himself in the process.

34min: Christensen gives away a free kick to stop McNeil out wide, but this time Chelsea defend the set piece better and even launch a counter, which ends with Heaton catching a Hudson-Odoi cross. Tarkowski gets a talking to for a foul in the process on Kante.

32min: Tom Heaton, in the Burnley goal, having already drawn the ire of the crowd with repeated time-wasting, now gets a yellow card for his troubles.

30min: After Kante’s almost in on goal, Higuain puts his foot through the ball from 20 yards out and just misses the top corner.

28min: Hudson-Odoi finds Hazard on the left, he opens his body up and tries to pick out the far corner, unsuccessfully.

27min: Chelsea almost copy Burnley’s first goal, but Jorginho’s half-volley from the top of the box is blocked by Barnes. It looked goal-bound.

24min: GOAL, Burnley. The equalizer comes from another set piece, as Mee heads back across from the far post, it gets flicked on, and Barnes is all alone at the far post to roof it past Arrizabalaga. 2-2.

20min: Chelsea keep coming forward and RLC tries his luck from distance. His curling right-footed effort just misses the top corner.

14min: GOALLLLLLL, HIGUAIIIIIN!!! Chelsea build on the right, Jorgiho then finds Azpi, plays a 1-2 and absolutely powers it past Heaten, via the underside of the crossbar. Tremendous finish. Great play! 2-1, CHELSEA!!

12min: GOAL, KANTEEEEE!!! RLC big-boys Westwood in the middle of the park and finds Hazard on the left. He destroys Lowton, finds Kante at the penalty spot, and he makes no mistake with the left-footed finish. 1-1!!!

8min: GOAL! Burnley come forward for the second time and win a corner. Chelsea clear at the far post, but only as far as Hendrick at the top of the box. He hits the looping ball on the volley, and Arrizabalaga has no chance at it flies into the back of the net just inside the post. Great finish, unfortunately. 0-1, Burnley.

6min: Emerson’s cross finds its way through a couple legs, but no one’s there to finish it at the far post. Chelsea come again as Hazard chips in for Higuain, who beats Heaton to the ball and flicks it at goal. It looks to be going in, but Mee’s there to hook it clear off the line!

2min: Nice combination up the right flank wins a corner for Chelsea when Azpi’s cross is blocked. Hazard swings it in, aiming for RLC at the near post, but he’s beaten to it. Hazard gathers the half-clearance and blasts at Heaton, who can only parry. But neither Azpilicueta nor Loftus-Cheek can make a clean connection on the loose rebound and Burnley survive. A follow-up corner is cleared again.

KICK-OFF: It’s Monday Night Football, and it’s live! Burnley get us started, and they build from midfield.

Chelsea have a chance to start the week on a great note, with at least a temporary third position in the Premier League table, if we can (we must!) beat Burnley. Spurs (vs. Brighton) and Arsenal (away at Wolves) play tomorrow, while Manchester United host Manchester City on Wednesday to then bring everyone back on level games played at 35.
