1. PEDRO (7.8)
Minutes: 85
Touches: 50
Passes: 28*/36
Shots: 2**/3
Tackles: 4
Pedro’s either terrible or he’s amazing. There is no middle ground. He’s either Man of the Match, or he’s down in the 4s. It’s like Chelsea, as a whole, but more extreme. In this one, he was amazing. But even then he found time to miss from three yards out, although that made it all the more hilarious when the ball rebounded off the post straight into the defender’s face, and into the back of the net. Pedro should’ve had a hat-trick, but this way was much funnier.

2. OLIVIER GIROUD (7.1)
Minutes: 90
Touches: 38
Passes: 19*/28
Shots: 2*/3
Fouls drawn: 2
Aerial duels: 5
In contrast to Pedro, Giroud’s generally consistent and always reliable to produce to a certain level. He may not always get on the scoresheet, but he’ll usually make an impact. He’s also one of the few players to have barely dropped a level as far as the player ratings are concerned — Hazard’s the only one to be averaging higher ratings than last year.
3. N’GOLO KANTÉ (6.6)
Minutes: 90
Touches: 76
Passes: 45/57
Take-ons: 3/5
Fouls drawn: 3
Tackles+INTs: 3+1
Which does mean that Kanté’s performing below last year’s Player of the Season clip, but that’s probably more down to the circumstances than anything to do with him personally. Of his 48 rated appearances (42 starts), he’s been in the top three a team-leading 28 times.
