1. KEPA ARRIZABALAGA (8.0)
Minutes: 90
Touches: 53
Passes: 29/41
Saves: 3
In the top five European Leagues (PL, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1), there are only four goalkeepers who’ve kept more than 20 clean sheets (in all competitions). It might surprise you that Kepa Arrizabalaga is one of them:
- Ederson — 22 clean sheets in 47 games
- Oblak — 21 clean sheets in 40 games
- Alisson — 21 clean sheets in 42 games
- Kepa — 21 clean sheets in 46 games
The next highest figure is 18 (Szczesny, Handanovic, Ter Stegen).
This statistic holds even if look at the top ten European Leagues (so including the top flights of Portugal, Turkey, Belgium, Russia, Ukraine).
And Kepa is the youngest of those four players.
Clean sheets aren’t down to just the goalkeeper of course, but he plays a significant part, and with his 9th Man of the Match, Chelsea’s world record signing at goalkeeper has indeed played a significant part for us in his very first (of hopefully very many) seasons.
shoutout to Kepa, who kept Chelsea in it throughout. one of the best players on the pitch prior to Hazard's introduction, imo. #CFCpic.twitter.com/GpQHXVZ8Ax

2. WILLIAN (6.8)
Minutes: 90
Touches: 60
Passes: 28*/35
Shots: 0/2
Take-ons: 4/5
Fouls drawn: 3
Tackles: 5
Willian’s tendency to play better when Hazard’s not around was once again evident, even if his match-winning assist came from the right flank and after Hazard’s introduction.
3. ANTONIO RÜDIGER (6.8)
Minutes: 90
Touches: 96
Passes: 73/81
Shots: 1/2
Tackles+Blocks: 2+1
Clearances: 5
Other than Kepa, and maybe Willian, the rest of the team was aggressively mediocre, and Rüdiger just barely beats out Hazard for the third spot. Others, including the goalscorer Marcos Alonso were close behind. Only Pedro stuck out like a sore thumb — his last three starts have now garnered ratings of 4.7, 4.2, and 4.1. Ouch.
