Manchester United are looking to avoid losing Matteo Darmian for free at the end of next season by offering the full-back a new four-year deal at Old Trafford, according to reports in Italy. The 29-year-old is known to want a move back to Serie A but United are said to be preparing a package to ensure a sell-on fee is acquired for the 36-times-capped Italy international. The Reds triggered a clause in Darmian’s contract earlier this season that tied the former Torino defender to Old Trafford until the end of the next campaign.
